Catherine's enthusiasm for urban farming is contagious. I am so glad I am working with her on this 300 plus square foot farm adventure in my garden. Her knowledge and patience in explaining the ins and outs of growing organic vegetables, pest control, crop rotation and harvesting, makes learning fun and farming exciting. I highly recommend her as a teacher, consultant or to help you maintain your future urban farm!

'I love helping the gardener!'
I have been very pleased with the garden that Catherine installed in my back yard. I have enjoyed harvesting fresh vegetables from the raised bed and I was so thrilled to see my first artichokes! I'm excited to add more crops to the rest of the yard and very happy to be working with Urban Edibles.

From Mission Pie Bakery, San Francisco:
THANK YOU gardeners and artists A huge and heartfelt thank you to all the helping hands that transformed the sidewalk on 25th Street outside Mission Pie last Saturday. Each and every day since, we’ve received more appreciative comments than we can count from neighbors who are so happy with the planting that we all did together. It was a wonderful day that included the dedication of the San Pancho Art Collective mural on Lilac Alley. Stop by and see it and give an encouraging whisper to the linden, lemon, raspberry, strawberry, rye and lavender, as they settle into their new digs.
CELEBRATE THE LANDSCAPES OF MISSION PIE On Saturday August 8th, 2009, Mission Pie invites friends and neighbors to create and celebrate new beauty and life around the Southwest corner of 25th and Mission.
* SATURDAY *
Beginning at 10am, we will be planting the sidewalk on 25th Street alongside our building.

o Mark Foti and Sunset Concrete
o Kai Klaassen
o Jason Mark
o Ted Logan and Logan Design and Construction
o Caitlin Miller

In the afternoon, between 2 and 5, we will celebrate the planting as well as the recent completion of the San Pancho Art Collective’s extraordinary mural on the back of the building at the corner of 25th and Lilac Alley.
